Mamma Mia! UPDATE
MAMMA MIA! UPDATE: POSTPONED... BUT, THE SHOW WILL GO ON!!
The effect of the Corona Virus on public gatherings has affected all of us in the arts, necessitating a pause on our ability to present the OVOC Spring Musical, "Mamma Mia!" on the dates originally set. We want to assure our supporters and audience that this joyful musical WILL be performed as soon as we are able to schedule it in the Performing Arts Center. This show will go on!
Meanwhile, OVOC is adhering to the health and safety guidelines from our government and rehearsals have been suspended. We want to assure our sponsors and supporters that their contributions will be applied to our ongoing efforts to bring this delightful musical to the community. One day soon we will all find ourselves enjoying the experience of being immersed in the sunshine of a Greek island as the exciting music of Abba surrounds us and we will look back on this time of adversity with pride that even with the odds against us, we produced this amazing show! Meanwhile, preparations continue with scenery and the list of arrangements that are not dependent upon group meetings.
A HUGE thank you to our cast and production staff for remaining flexible and demonstrating awesome positivity and enthusiasm for this show. They stand ready to resume as soon as we get the go-ahead. Special thanks to our sponsors who have already committed to supporting the show including Confluence Health, Edward Jones’s Doug Sklar, The Breadline Café, Dr. Nau, Gene’s Harvest Foods, Midway Building Supply, Okanogan County Veterans, Culligan and Clearwater Spas, Brooke Chase and Carlton Roos. Sponsor support right now is especially appreciated. We will keep you all notified about developments. Check back on our website, www.ovocmusic.org or on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/OkanoganValleyOrchestraAndChorus for updates.
Meanwhile, tickets are on sale now!
