PRESS RELEASE
The Okanogan Valley Orchestra and Chorus announces its first Scholarship winner.
With many thanks to The Chelan Valley Players for its generous grant, the Okanogan Valley Orchestra and Chorus is pleased to announce its first Scholarship Award. CVP has recently disbanded and made this donation because of the strong relationship of the organizations.
OVOC President Ugo Bartell is pleased to announce that Sarah Walker is the recipient of this award. Sarah is a graduating senior from Omak High School who plans to attend Washington State University and pursue a degree in music education. While at WSU she plans to enjoy becoming a member of the Cougar Marching Band.

Sarah has been very active in OVOC having performed on the stage as an actor, behind the stage doing technical work and playing in the orchestra and chorus concerts and in the orchestra for a musical.
Bartell says that OVOC is proud to be able to now support our local students that will be pursuing careers in the Performing Arts.
NOTE: It is OVOC's intention that only earnings from the Scholarship Fund be used for the Scholarship. To make this self sustaining we ask your support by donating to the Fund. Take advantage of a $1,000 Matching Grant provided by an anonymous donor.
