The End of Our Season
Dear Membership,
The Okanogan Valley Orchestra and Chorus 2020-2021 season is now complete! We greatly appreciate all of our members and volunteers who participated through the last year. The season was unusual and challenging in ways we never imagined we’d be tackling, but with your support it turned out to be amazing, rewarding, and encouraging.
We are also so thankful to our donors and funders for seeing OVOC through a difficult time. When many were struggling to stay afloat, you showed that music really is vital and kept Okanogan Valley Orchestra and Chorus going strong so we can keep fine music alive and thriving in the Okanogan Valley. Thanks to you, we can look forward to an amazing 2021-2022 season!
OVOC now has four new Directors on the Board who were elected at our annual June meeting. Lynn Hoover and Cari Zachow have been voted in as the new president and vice president respectively. We will hold our annual retreat this month and would appreciate any input from anyone about potential outreach and vision for OVOC as we reemerge.
We learned so much during this past virtual season and plan to bring our new knowledge to the 2021-2022 season to make it the best one yet. Mamma Mia! is scheduled to go on in May of 2022 and we plan to present live music in the PAC starting this fall with four concerts, as long as COVID-19 remains on the downward trend. We will be at the Okanogan County Fair and have further information about the upcoming season.
As we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, our spirits are lifting and our devotion to music, performance, and community is even stronger. It will be a tremendous and emotional homecoming to sit amongst our musical friends and colleagues on the PAC stage and in the audience. We are in great anticipation of that day. See you at the fair!
With sincere appreciation,
OVOC
