About Us.
Since 1984, the Okanogan Valley Orchestra & Chorus (OVOC) has united our Washington State community through the performing arts. Rehearsing from September through March, our inclusive community orchestra and chorus present three seasonal concerts each year—Fall, Winter, and Spring. Beyond the concert stage, our season features an annual Spring musical developing on-stage and backstage theater talent, alongside an annual Variety Show that celebrates diverse local acts ranging from dance to magic.
OVOC also houses dynamic smaller ensembles, including the jazz-focused Okanogan Valley Big Band (OVBB), the versatile brass ensemble Brassworks, and The OK Band, which supports youth musicians in local theater, pep, and marching bands. Orchestra

Our orchestra brings together a diverse array of instruments to create a rich, full-bodied sound. From grand symphonies to intimate chamber pieces, the orchestra's performances are both powerful and evocative. Each concert is a journey through classical and contemporary works, designed to move and inspire.
Chorus
since 1984
The chorus excels in delivering emotive and harmonically rich vocal performances. With a repertoire spanning from traditional choral pieces to modern works, their concerts are both uplifting and stirring. Their meticulous rehearsals and passionate performances make each concert a memorable event.
Brassworks
since 1998
Brassworks celebrates the brilliance of brass instruments through bold, innovative performances. Their repertoire ranges from classical fanfares to contemporary compositions, showcasing the versatility and power of brass. The group’s engaging performances captivate audiences with their rich tones and dynamic expressions.
Big Band (OVBB)
since 2023
The OVBB, our dynamic big band, brings the exuberance of the swing era to life with energetic performances and smooth, rhythmic grooves. Their expansive repertoire includes everything from classic swing standards to modern jazz arrangements. With its vibrant sound and tight ensemble playing, the OVBB creates an electrifying atmosphere that gets audiences swinging and swaying.

The OK Band
since 2024
The OK Band focuses on nurturing young talent by supporting local pep and marching bands through outreach and mentorship. They provide invaluable experience and opportunities for young musicians to develop their skills and passion. Their commitment to fostering the next generation of performers makes each performance a celebration of youthful energy and potential.
