Theater
Bringing Stories to Life, One Performance at a Time.
The OVOC Theater Department has been a vital part of our community's artistic expression for decades. Since its inception in 1984, our theater department has brought a wide variety of productions to the Okanogan Valley, from classic plays and musicals to innovative and original performances.
Our commitment to theater began early, with our first productions focusing on Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, which quickly became community favorites. As we grew, so did our ambitions, leading to the production of large-scale Broadway-style musicals that have involved hundreds of local performers, musicians, and volunteers. Over the years, our shows have delighted audiences and provided a platform for actors, directors, stage crew, and musicians to showcase their talents.
The OVOC Theater Department is more than just a place to see great performances—it's a community where creativity thrives. We offer opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved, whether on stage, behind the scenes, or in a production role. From set design and costume creation to acting and directing, there’s a place for everyone who wants to contribute to the magic of live theater.
Our spring musical is a massive undertaking that requires the collaboration of a diverse team, including performers, stage crew, sound production, pit orchestras, directors, producers, and more. Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a behind-the-scenes expert, or someone looking to try something new, there’s a place for you in our theater department.
