The OK Band
Bridging Generations Through Music and Mentorship
The OK Band is a unique ensemble made up of dedicated members from the Okanogan Valley Orchestra and Chorus (OVOC) who are passionate about supporting the next generation of musicians. Our mission is to collaborate with local music teachers and programs, particularly at the high school level, to enhance the musical experiences of young musicians through mentorship, performance, and community engagement.
By joining forces with high school pep and marching bands, The OK Band creates an exciting and supportive environment where students can experience the joy of playing alongside seasoned musicians. This collaboration not only enriches their musical journey but also offers them a glimpse into how music can continue to be a fulfilling part of their lives into adulthood.
Our members bring their experience, enthusiasm, and love for music to every rehearsal and performance, providing invaluable mentorship and demonstrating the lifelong benefits of staying involved in music. Whether it's on the field at a local football game or marching in a community parade, The OK Band is there to support, inspire, and celebrate the musical talents of our youth.
In addition to being a powerful tool for mentorship, The OK Band offers a fun and dynamic musical outlet for OVOC members, allowing them to stay actively involved in the local music scene while making a positive impact on young musicians' lives.
Join The OK Band and be part of a vibrant community that’s dedicated to fostering musical growth, building connections, and sharing the joy of music with the next generation.
